॥ Dhyānam (Meditation Shloka) ॥
शुक्लाम्बरधरं विष्णुं शशिवर्णं चतुर्भुजम् । प्रसन्नवदनं ध्यायेत् सर्वविघ्नोपशान्तये ॥
Śuklāmbara-dharaṁ viṣṇuṁ śaśi-varṇaṁ catur-bhujam | Prasanna-vadanaṁ dhyāyet sarva-vighnopaśāntaye ||
For the pacification of all obstacles, let us meditate upon Lord Ganesha, who is adorned in spotless white garments, all-pervading, of the tranquil hue of the moon, possessing four arms, and graced with a gentle, benevolent countenance.
प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम् । भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यमायुःकामार्थसिद्धये ॥ १ ॥
Praṇamya śirasā devaṁ gaurī-putraṁ vināyakam | Bhaktāvāsaṁ smaren-nityam-āyuḥ-kāmārtha-siddhaye || 1 ||
Bowing down with one's head before Lord Vinayaka, the beloved son of Mother Gauri, the eternal resident in the hearts of His devotees, one should constantly remember Him for the attainment of long life, fulfillment of righteous desires, and wealth.
प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम् । तृतीयं कृष्णपिङ्गाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम् ॥ २ ॥
Prathamaṁ vakratuṇḍaṁ ca ekadantaṁ dvitīyakam | Tṛtīyaṁ kṛṣṇa-piṅgākṣaṁ gajavaktraṁ caturthakam || 2 ||
First is Vakratunda (He with the curved trunk); second is Ekadanta (He with a single tusk); third is Krishna-Pingaksha (He with dark and golden-brown eyes); and fourth is Gajavaktra (He with the face of an elephant).
लम्बोदरं पञ्चमं च षष्ठं विकटमेव च । सप्तमं विघ्नराजेन्द्रं धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टमम् ॥ ३ ॥
Lambodaraṁ pañcamaṁ ca ṣaṣṭhaṁ vikaṭam-eva ca | Saptamaṁ vighnarājendraṁ dhūmravarṇaṁ tathāṣṭamam || 3 ||
Fifth is Lambodara (He with the expansive belly holding the universe); sixth is Vikata (He of formidable and vast form); seventh is Vighnarajendra (the supreme ruler over all obstacles); and eighth is Dhumravarna (He of smoky complexion).
नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकम् । एकादशं गणपतिं द्वादशं तु गजाननम् ॥ ४ ॥
Navamaṁ bhālacandraṁ ca daśamaṁ tu vināyakam | Ekādaśaṁ gaṇapatiṁ dvādaśaṁ tu gajānanam || 4 ||
Ninth is Bhalachandra (He whose forehead is adorned with the crescent moon); tenth is Vinayaka (the supreme leader); eleventh is Ganapati (the lord of the Ganas); and twelfth is Gajanana (He with the majestic elephant face).
द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसंध्यं यः पठेन्नरः । न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं प्रभो ॥ ५ ॥
Dvādaśaitāni nāmāni tri-sandhyaṁ yaḥ paṭhen-naraḥ | Na ca vighna-bhayaṁ tasya sarva-siddhi-karaṁ prabho || 5 ||
The person who recites these twelve sacred names during the three junctures of the day (morning, noon, and dusk) faces no fear from any obstacle whatsoever, and attains success in all undertakings.
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम् । पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान् मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम् ॥ ६ ॥
Vidyārthī labhate vidyāṁ dhanārthī labhate dhanam | Putrārthī labhate putrān mokṣārthī labhate gatim || 6 ||
The seeker of knowledge attains profound wisdom; the seeker of wealth attains prosperity; the seeker of progeny is blessed with noble children; and the seeker of liberation attains the supreme spiritual state.
जपेद्गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासैः फलं लभेत् । संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशयः ॥ ७ ॥
Japed-gaṇapati-stotraṁ ṣaḍbhir-māsaiḥ phalaṁ labhet | Saṁvatsareṇa siddhiṁ ca labhate nātra saṁśayaḥ || 7 ||
By reciting this Ganapati Stotra regularly, one begins experiencing tangible results within six months, and attains complete fulfillment and siddhi within one full year; of this there is no doubt.
अष्टभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा यः समर्पयेत् । तस्य विद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशस्य प्रसादतः ॥ ८ ॥
Aṣṭabhyo brāhmaṇebhyaśca likhitvā yaḥ samarpayet | Tasya vidyā bhavet-sarvā gaṇeśasya prasādataḥ || 8 ||
Whoever copies out this sacred hymn and presents it to eight noble devotees/scholars is blessed with the mastery of all sciences and arts through the boundless grace of Lord Ganesha.
