Radha Raman Temple Vrindavan - History, Darshan Timings & Seva Guide | Bhakti Voice

Shri Radha Raman Temple in Vrindavan is one of the most venerable and untouched jewels of the Six Goswami heritage. Enshrining Lord Krishna as 'Radha Raman' (the one who brings joy to Radha), the exquisite black deity self-manifested from a sacred Damodar Shaligram Shila on the full moon day of Vaisakha in 1542 CE. The temple is unique as it keeps no separate idol for Srimati Radharani; instead, a consecrated crown placed beside the Lord signifies her eternal presence.

Frequently asked questions

What is the secret of the eternal flame inside the Radha Raman kitchen?

The cooking fire in the temple kitchen was lit over 480 years ago by Gopala Bhatta Goswami using sacred Vedic wood-friction mantras (Arani). That same sacred fire has been preserved continuously unbroken to this day; no matchsticks are ever used.

Why is there no deity of Radha Rani next to Radha Raman Ji?

Because the deity itself manifested embodying both Radha and Krishna together, a golden Gomukhi crown and a silver throne beside him represent Srimati Radharani's transcendental presence.
