In the great war of Kurukshetra, Karna fought with legendary valor, though he was deeply constrained by Bhishma's refusal to let him fight alongside the main army during the early days due to an old argument over warrior status. When Karna finally took command after Bhishma and Dronacharya fell, he engaged in fierce duels with the Pandavas, sparing the lives of Yudhishthira, Bheema, Nakula, and Sahadeva as per his solemn promise to Kunti.
The epic climax arrived on the seventeenth day of battle, when Karna faced his lifelong rival, Arjuna, in a duel supervised by Lord Krishna. Burdened by accumulated curses—Parashurama's curse of forgotten missile spells, a Brahmin's curse for accidentally killing his cow, and Mother Earth swallowing his chariot wheel due to an earlier curse—Karna stepped down from his chariot to lift the sunk wheel. At that vulnerable moment, urged by Krishna to uphold cosmic justice, Arjuna released the fatal arrow that ended Karna's earthly life. As he fell, Lord Krishna himself, disguised as an old Brahmin, approached Karna to test his generosity one final time; Karna broke his own gold-capped tooth and offered it in charity. Moments later, his soul ascended to the sun in a brilliant flash of light, leaving behind an immortal legacy of sacrifice, loyalty, and unmatched honor. Movie must watch 10/10.
