Designed by renowned architect Achyut Kanvinde, the temple was built through the devotion of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to manifest founder A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's vision of modern Vedic education in the Indian capital.

Architecture

A bold synthesis of classical stepped temple shikharas with modern lattice screens and multi-level pedestrian plazas. The inner sanctum ceiling features grand ceiling frescoes executed by Russian artists depicting Krishna's divine pastimes.

Throughout the year. Janmashtami, Radhashtami, and Gaura Purnima draw exhilarating festivals with 24-hour kirtan and floral decorations.

Timings

Temple opens at 04:30 AM with Mangala Aarti and closes at 09:00 PM. Sanctum curtains remain closed between 01:00 PM - 04:15 PM and during short bhog offerings.

Visitors must step through security metal detectors and deposit footwear at the free shoe rack before ascending the marble stairway. Free prasadam distribution is frequent.
