The Deep Meaning of Lord Vishnu Resting on the Cosmic Serpent

The visual representation of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, is both majestic and enigmatic. He is often depicted in a state of tranquil slumber (Yoga Nidra), resting upon the coils of a giant, multi-headed serpent known as Sheshnag or Ananta Shesha, floating on the Kshirasagara (the Cosmic Ocean of Milk).
